About Ray York
Meet Sgt. Raymond Andrew York
Florida native born and raised in Chiefland, Florida a small town in North Central Florida. Graduated from Chiefland High School on a Friday night in June of 1995 and only two days later left for boot camp in the United States Marines at Parris Island, SC. Served two active duty enlistments and two years in the reserves from 1995-2005 which included duties such as Platoon Sergeant during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. In 2005 and after his enlistment which included travels to places to include but limited to Japan, Norway, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand Sgt. York exited the Marine Corps and settled down back in Central Florida.
Sgt. York was hired by ZOM Residential Services where he would become a Maintenance Supervisor before attaining his Real Estate license in 2009. At the same time as practicing Real Estate Sgt. York started his own business, Sgt. York’s Property Maintenance LLC. Working with buyers and sellers to not only help them meet their purchase or selling goal, but also providing residential maintenance and renovations.
In 2012 Sgt. York added yet another duty in being hired as a contracted Nuisance Alligator Trapper for the state of Florida. Which evolved into a full-service alligator trapping and guided alligator hunting company.
Sgt. York owns a home in the Groveland area and loves Lake county and everything it has to offer. He also loves performing a public service in his trapping duties. Sgt. York is unmarried and has three children and one grandchild. He enjoys coaching kids and attending church. In his free time, he spends it exercising, enjoying the outdoors, traveling and riding his motorcycle.
